Subcontractor vetting and management – All manufacturing subcontactors in our network are highly vetted and actively managed. Before bringing on a new subcontractors, we initiate a rigorous onboarding process to audit their facilities, quality management systems, and practices around IP management. Our manufacturing subcontractors are under strict NDAs and function as legal arms of FabX Precision.

NDAs – If you’d like extra peace of mind, we are happy to provide our mutual NDA for you to sign, or work with you to sign your company’s proprietary NDA. You can email us at engineering@fabxrapid.com to get started.

Those subcontractors offer access-controlled rooms with video surveillance on entrances and exits where parts are produced, and only select, authenticated users whose actions are logged can access design data. Additionally, we implement personal device controls in manufacturing facilities and retain IP data for a max of 15 days after orders are complete to maintain information security.

We can also machine to tighter tolerances (±0.025mm or ±0.001″) with an attached engineering drawing calling out critical features.

We inspect and measure each part via calipers, so callout features must be measurable through those means.

3D Printing

Generally, ±0.3mm for SLS and, ±0.1mm for SLA parts,For each printing technology, larger parts will have an even wider tolerance range.

The above are rough guidelines and should be used only for reference. For more in-depth design parameters, be sure to conduct a tolerance analysis. Always design the parts with tolerances in mind!

If dimensions are critical, consider a manufacturing method like CNC.

Depends on the project and quantity, usually 6-15 days for prototyping and 14-21 days for rapid tooling. 2-4 days for transportation by Express.

2D drawings and 3D drawings are required, STEP format is preferred.
For some simple turning part, 2D drawings may be enough.

We have all equipment to measure dimensions, height, thickness, hardness and full-set gauges for thread holes and through holes.
